My daughter came home from school today with a snail named Jeff.
He has already been given some leaves, a bit of cucumber, and apparently a full introduction to the family. I like how kids can look at a tiny snail and immediately decide it has a name, a personality, and probably an opinion about everything.

Jeff already looks like he has strong opinions and a very busy schedule. Honestly, kids choosing tiny garden creatures as family members is one of the best things.
