Haruki Murakami has a new novel out in Japan, The Tale of KAHO.
I’m curious about this one because it is said to be his first full-length novel with a female protagonist. The story follows Kaho, a 26-year-old picture book author, and from the little I’ve read, it sounds like it has Murakami’s usual mix of ordinary life and strange, surreal turns.
Has anyone started reading about it, or waiting for the English translation?

I’m definitely curious about this one. A female protagonist in Murakami’s world sounds interesting, especially if it still has that strange, dreamlike feeling he does so well. I’ll probably wait for the English translation, but I already know I’ll be tempted the moment people start talking about it.
